All I Need is a further expression of the sonic theme of the album, the composite of organic and synthetic sounds and instrumentation. It’s fundamental motif is a nylon string guitar and midi sequenced arpeggiator that play exactly the same part throughout the entire song, note-for-note, with the intention of blending into a single voice. Between them, the pronouns ‘you’/‘your’ and ‘I’ repeat about 45 times throughout the song, more than once a line on average. But the song was never written as a conversation between two people, more a communication with less controllable aspects of oneself. Things that sometimes feel as if they’re creations of a separate consciousness – endorphins, hormones and chemical signals.
lyrics
I’ll be the cure
I’ll mask the warning signs
Tab on your tongue the lets you sleep at night
I’ll be the flood that makes you feel alive
I’ll be the veil
I’ll pull the wool over your eyes
You are all I need
I need
You are all I need
I need
I’ll draw the blood that bids the sharks to roam
I feel so human
Feel so obvious
I’ll be the rush that makes you feel alive
I’ll be your stones to throw
The fuel to feed your fire
You are all I need
I need
You are all I need
I need
You are all I need
I need
You are all I need
I need
Cast no stones
Pick no bones
It’s in our nature
in our nature
Cast no stones
Pick no bones
It’s in our nature
It’s in our nature
You are all I need
I need
You are all I need
I need
You are all I need
I need
You are all I need
I need
