This was a very old composition, repurposed with new lyrics for the album. A simple breakup song, but also about the unreliability of memories because of how our brains processes them – sometimes the only means to not damage memories of a person, is to forget them. I think it’s thematically appropriate that a lot of musical elements of the song were sonically degraded by running them through an old dusty Sony cassette tape player. The lead vocals on this track were performed by singer-songwriter Mazlyn.
lyrics
I swore that I had dream this
Not quite reality
Our minds will warp these memories
Forget them, stay pure
Nothing’s going to harm us now
Release your inhibitions
You’re not to blame in this
Our minds will warp these memories
Don’t let them form a truth
